FHLB's AHP gives OTR apartment complex new life

Logan Towers received a profound makeover with a little help from FHLB Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program, FHLB member Fifth Third Bank and project sponsor Talbert House. Logan Towers is the renovation of the former Parkway Towers apartment complex at 1817 Logan Street, a historic building in the heart of Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. FHLB's AHP granted $1,000,000 to the project, adding to nearly $802 million awarded since the program's inception in 1990.

This summer, many former Parkway residents will move back into a familiar yet completely transformed space. Logan Towers now include 63 studio and one bedroom units, over half of which serve as permanent supportive housing (PSH). As a PSH development, the complex connects occupants who have previously struggled with homelessness to helpful resources to overcome personal challenges, such as mental health issues and addiction, allowing them to build better, more fulfilling lives.

Logan Towers is set to open at the end of July 2021.
