Meet Dawn Grace and Jill Cravens

March 22, 2024

Meet two members of our Housing and Community Investment team who help support our mission of providing affordable housing in the Fifth District.

Dawn Grace

Dawn Grace’s, Vice President of FHLB Cincinnati’s Housing and Community Investment (HCI) department, passion for affordable housing has been a driving force in her career.

“I consider myself fortunate to be able to work in a field where I am passionate about the mission, and I feel that each of us in HCI help make a difference for these families who are able to receive the benefit of the funds,” said Dawn. “There is a lot of work to be done in this area, and it is challenging, but I feel a sense of pride that the work we do contributes towards affordable housing for those with the most need.”

Dawn obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida A&M University, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Management from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to the aforementioned degrees, she holds National Development Council (now known as Grow America) certifications in Housing Development Finance and Economic Development Finance.

Prior to joining the Bank, Dawn worked in community development and affordable housing for the City of Cincinnati where she provided project management for a diverse range of projects including market rate and affordable projects, as well as single family, multi-family and mixed-use projects.

Dawn’s passion for improving communities isn’t restricted to her time at FHLB Cincinnati; she serves on the boards of the Homesteading & Urban Redevelopment Corporation (HURC), the Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC), and Brighton Properties. She lives in North Avondale, a Cincinnati neighborhood, with her husband Keith.

Jill Cravens

Jill Cravens has been with FHLB Cincinnati since 2007, now serving as the Housing & Community Investment officer. The financial environment isn’t new to her, having worked as a loan underwriter at various local banks for over 20 years.

Now, Jill oversees the development and management of all Housing & Community Investment programs, as well as assisting with the management of daily operations. She enjoys what she does at FHLB Cincinnati and seeing how it impacts residents of Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.

“I believe everyone who wants to own a home should own a home, and we can help them do that,” said Jill. “I keep coming to work every day and giving my best efforts because I can see what a difference our programs make.”

She met her college sweetheart at Eastern Kentucky University while pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Business Management. They have been married for almost 40 years and live in California, Ky. In Jill’s free time, she loves to read and garden.
