FHLB Cincinnati Accepting Nominations for the Affordable Housing Advisory Council
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati is committed to assisting low- and moderate-income families find solutions to their affordable housing needs. We accomplish this by providing grants, loans and technical assistance to our member financial institutions and their affordable housing partners in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
Much of our success is credited to the outstanding guidance and assistance provided by the members of the FHLB’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council, who advise the FHLB on matters related to the development of affordable housing. At present, the FHLB is seeking nominations for persons to serve on the Advisory Council to fill upcoming vacancies beginning January 2021, January 2022, and January 2023, in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
The Advisory Council comprises persons drawn from community and nonprofit organizations actively involved in providing housing for low- and moderate-income families or promoting community lending. Members of the Advisory Council meet quarterly with representatives of the FHLB's Board of Directors and staff to advise them on low- to moderate-income housing and community investment programs, housing needs in our three-state district, and on the direction of the FHLB's programs.
The FHLB is seeking individuals that meet the following criteria:
- Actively involved in the provision of housing for low and moderate income families.
- Occupy the chief executive or executive director position within their organization.
- Knowledge and experience in housing and development issues.
- Experienced user of the FHLB Affordable Housing Program.
- Recognized for their leadership and commitment to affordable housing and community investment.
- Resident of, and principal place of business located in Kentucky, Ohio, or Tennessee.
- Willingness to commit time and energy to serve a three-year term on the Advisory Council.
