Cincinnati Scholar House breaks ground in Walnut Hills
Cincinnati Union Bethel officially broke ground on the Cincinnati Scholar House, which will help low-income, single parents complete their college education by providing supportive and affordable housing as they complete their degrees. When constructed, the Scholar House will boast two- and three-bedroom apartments, a certified childcare facility and other case management services.
The project is partially funded by a $440,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant through FHLB member JPMorgan Chase. Many Scholar Houses throughout the Fifth District have been made possible in part with AHP funding.
