The Advisory Council helps to set the direction for the FHLBank’s affordable housing and community lending programs by advising the Board of Directors and management on needs and programs occurring in the Fifth District. The council has 15 members, nominated by member institutions, sponsors and community-based organizations. Council members are appointed by the Board. Council members serve staggered three-year terms, and no member may serve more than three consecutive terms.
